James F. Kisela
Chairman and CEO
After more than thirty years as a corporate human resources executive, Jim Kisela is one of the founders of WorkLife Productions, Inc. where he is currently Chairman and CEO.
Jim Kisela most recently was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for QVC, Inc. the world's largest electronic retailing firm, and before that was Vice President of the Vanguard Group, Inc. the second largest mutual fund group in the United States. Prior to that he was worldwide head of human resources for the Campbell Soup Company. His earlier experiences were in the natural resources, agricultural and financial services industries.
As a corporate human resource executive he was instrumental in starting and rebuilding human resource departments in several rapidly growing companies. He developed innovative management development programs, was a pioneer in the use of computer based training, developed cutting edge executive compensation programs and has been developing the concept of total performance management.
Some notable achievements include the development of the Campbell Soup on-site day care center into a nationally recognized facility, creating a totally paperless human resource department at the Vanguard Group and creating a highly regarded computer based training system for customer representatives at the Vanguard Group.
As an Executive Vice President of Risk Management Group, Inc. in Wayne, PA, he is responsible for business development, sales, as well as the Human Resources practice area.
Jim is the author of a chapter entitled: "The Role of Work-Life Benefits in the Total Pay Strategy" in The Compensation Handbook (McGraw-Hill: 2000).
Currently, he is on the board of directors for INROADS (a college intern program for minority students) and is a faculty member of the University of Phoenix (Philadelpia Campus), and in the past was on the Advisory Council to the Human Resources Division of the American Management Association, the Advisory Board of Penn State Great Valley Campus, and has been very active in the United Way, the Boys and Girls Home, and other civic and charitable organizations.
He attended the University of Illinois, and has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
