James F. McCann

Jim McCann has over twenty years experience in the fields of Human Services and Human Resources Management and consulting, including ten years working with corporations to develop their child and elder care employee initiatives. He is Executive Vice President of WorkLife Productions, Inc., a human resources consulting group that produces products and consulting services relating to work-life issues.
He was President of the KL James Group, a Human Resources Consulting group specializing in Work - Life strategies. and worked with organizations to develop comprehensive work-life strategies and intergenerational programs for senior adults and students.
As a Managing Director of a national Resource and Referral company, Mr. McCann was instrumental in the development of the case management model for child and elder care referral services and oversaw the development of the first comprehensive national database of child care and elder care programs. Prior to that, he worked for over ten years at a private rehabilitation facility , first as an Adult Day Care Administrator, then as a Vocational Training Case Manager for both school age and adult populations.
His expertise in dependent care issues is widely recognized. He has been published in national human resources journals and has been a frequent speaker at conferences. He is past Chairman of the Human Resource Committee of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Council on Aging (NCOA).
He is active in his local school district and sits on the Rose Tree Media School District's Superintendent's Advisory Board. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management/ Marketing from St. Joseph's University and graduate studies from Pennsylvania State University. He lives in the suburban Philaelphia area with his wife and four children.
